    When Predators make a kill. The Alpha always eats first and the organs are always the preferred meal. Makes you think that all of the nutrients are in the organs. Most of us do not eat the organs but we are Alpha's in our own right.
    I generally dump all the organs and just process the meat. If someone asks before I go hunting for liver or heart etc. I'll save it.

      For survival, fats and minerals are usually the premium in the wild. Animals know it and go straight for the more calorie dense portions first. Love that show by the way, wait until you get to this current season there's a big thing that's gonna blow your mind.

      For me, liver and heart and I trim every shred of scrap I can get off the neck and elsewhere. If I can eat it, or if my dogs can eat it, it doesn't get left behind.

      I give them raw bones and all the shins with the fur-on, will freeze the shins whole for snacks later. Sometimes I'll boil down some of the bones to get all the cartilage and scraps then I'll strain those out and put the broth into quart zip-lock baggies and freeze them flat. Those make for great dry food toppers all year long, or just bone broth popsicles in the summer. By shins I DON'T mean shanks, shanks are kept for myself and I've come to regard them as the best part of the deer.
