    Trade Apprenticeship!

    Hello TBH Family!

Just putting a feeler out there for those of you who own HVAC/R, Plumbing, or Electrical Contracting companies that may have apprenticeship opportunities.

I have worked in the oil and gas Directional Drilling industry for the past 10 years completing wells for all the major players in the Permian; Exxon, Chevron, Parsley, Patriot, Pioneer, COG, Diamondback, and Oxy. The wells I took part in drilling have an average $8 million dollar scope. All the while, I had been working towards transitioning into the aviation industry and just last April I earned my FAA Commercial Pilot license.

Now in 2020, my career outlook and vision have changed. I want to learn a trade that is less responsive to the price of oil, corona, more stable, with ample growth opportunity. I plan to attend a technical trade school in the evenings, but want to work during the day.

I'm extremely self-motivated, excited and eager to learn the trades. 4 year College Degree, Spanish as a 2nd language, Commercial rated pilot (I can fly you around to visit your clients), and I do well with managing large projects.

I will start at the very bottom and work my way up. Please see that my resume and cover letter are attached below. I appreciate any leads! Have a travel trailer and willing to relocate!

Put yourself thru a short lineman school. Get a CDL and you will have a job anywhere you want. Everybody likes there electricity.

Have you thought about the millwright trade or instrument/analyzer tech? Both of these are in demand trades at the plants both oil and chemical. There are several companies and unions that offer training

I have looked into those. Although a great career, I'd like to learn something that can be applied to my household like plumbing, HVAC or electrician.

Thank you. I will look into this. Any benefit of going electrician over HVAC or plumbing?

Thanks! I've heard that's a very solid gig. But I'm set on plumbing, HVAC or household electrician. I'm seeking skills that I can use everyday around the house.

Where are you located? I own an electrical contracting company in Houston. Shoot me a PM if you’re local.
