Same thoughts I always forget they are here in town

I like Fred at the Bow Shop off Topperwein, he is one of the best I have seen at tuning a bow. He also has no problem telling you how the cow ate the cabbage. He is a good guy and has a good attitude.

I switched over to a stiffer arrow and heavier broad head, he retuned my bow for the heavier arrows and proceeded to lecture me on shot placement

              Tim is a worthless individual.
I would not spend a single cent at his business.

Yes, bows were a part of warfare for the norse. They were important tools for hunting and softening up enemies, though they were not the primary weapon for the vikings.

I ended up with a last minute errand in Austin today and took my bow to Archery Country.

Wonder what it is about bows that makes bow shop owners such azz clowns

Agreed. I live a few minutes away from both and I’ll go by Viking to just browse. Service has always been iffy there. Leading edge is my go to.

OP being in San Marcos, I was going to suggest Fred and The Bow shop. Very very good customer service. May be easier to get to being on the northeast wide of San Antonio.

Drive to the second closest place, it’s worth it. Won’t knock the guy as I haven’t bought a bow from him in 20 years in Houston. My experience was bad enough that I still remember.
