    Scale for sausage

I did a search but didn't find much on what scales guys are using to make sausage. Are most using digital or analog? Is it worth it to buy an expensive one? Thanks.

I use a digital one. Not expensive but works. All you need is something accurate, nothing too expensive.

This is like the one I have

I use my digital Fieldpiece scale. I had from my A/C service days and it works great. I can weigh to the 100th of an ounce if I want to.

I've thought about the LEM 330lb digital but I probably don't need it to go that heavy and I've read mixed reviews.

I never go that heavy, usually about 25 lbs max, but it is simple and easy. Plus I can set it to ignore the weight of the bin I have the meat in. I only use it a couple times a year and it has always worked for me. Plus, its not like I'm mixing chemicals. If its off a few ounces for some reason, it really doesn't affect the sausage.

Y'all weigh your meat when making sausage? I always just eyeball it. Like a handfull of ground bacon to 2 handfuls of ground venison for my burgers, etc.

No help sorry, just wanted to be a smart*** today for some reason lol

I use a smaller, digital scale to measure seasonings and cures by the gram or ounce, and a dash pot scale for meat by pound.

Exact same thing I do. Very accurate, easy to use and the readout is on a wireless remote.

Made hard salami for her once. Too spicy for her I reckon.
