Modern Taxidermy has done some high quality work for me, but he will take a while to get it back. If you go in knowing that, you wont be disappointed. He is out of Joshua.

It depends so much on what you are having done. I have yet to see a cat,Fox or coyote mount from the DFW area I would be happy with. Not too hard to find someone to make a white tail look pretty good but throw him a bird, predator or a fish and he may not be your guy.

I've had 4 whitetails done by Rusty's taxidermy in Bedford and I'm not sure I've ever seen better work. Problem is last year he had so much work he couldn't take mine and wouldn't you know its my best deer to date. I ended up taking it to True Life in Grandbury on Rusty's recommendation. I went and looked at their work and I was very impressed. We'll see if I still am when I get mine back but I have high hopes.
Several guys have already recommended Alpine. A buddy of mine had a whitetail done there and it turned out great. I had a bobcat done there and its not good at all. No way I would have them do another cat. So it really does matter what your having done. Some animals just take a different set of skills I guess.
