Headed to Waco - Next Chapter

Well...after almost 13 years in north Fort Worth, we are relocating to Waco.

After being laid off 5 weeks ago the Lord has blessed me with a new opportunity! Timing is pretty good as my son will be a sophomore in BCS (Blinn for a year then TAMU) and my daughter will be a freshman at ACU.

Hoping to get with the local Waco TBHer’s and learn about the local fishing holes and other recreational opportunities in the Waco area.

Also hoping to find a hunting spot once we get settled in....

Again, Looking forward to meeting the Waco Crowd once we sell our home in Roanoke.

Welcome, what industry? Would be able to suggest areas closer to work/recreations.

I have been in the flooring business (manufacturing) for 18 years and will be joining a very successful flooring company as their sales / business development director.

We are looking at buying on the SW side of town....

Cameron Park and Huaco Bowmen are two good outdoor opportunities! Pre-Covid Huaco puts on a 3D shoot every month. Fun course that sits in Cameron park. Check out their FB page. Not sure if there are shoots happening currently.

Welcome- we live in Robinson just outside of town. There’s good Duck hunting on lake Waco itself and plenty of other opportunities for different activities close. Let me know if you need anything. I grew up in Dallas and there isn’t a thing that could make me leave the area now. You’ll love it.

There are a lot of great guys in that area. The first chapter and headquarters for Legacy Outfitters is there and they are a great bunch.

Congratulation on a new chapter in life. Waco is a great place to live! Is your new employer the same company moving to a new location on Waco Dr. by chance?

Lake Waco had fish at one time but I think RWC has most of them in his freezer now
