??? on Gravely Zero turn mowers

I need a mower this year and I have a Big yard (about 3 to 4 acres). I have been using my tractor and a bush hog and it is time I start using a finish cut mower. My questions are:
1) are they worth the $$$
2) pros and cons
3) is there any others that I should look at?

I don't want to spend any more the $3500. on a mower, I have found the Gravely on sale for $3300 and I will not have to pay tax because of farm execption.

They are worth every dime, they will cut your mowing time in half. I don't have any cons.

They are worth it. Only con, takes two hands to drive. Gotta wait for the cold one once you've finished.

the only con I have found on the Graveley zero turn is the price, so if you can afford it then I don't think you will find any other cons about it. My father in law has one and you can mow a yard in 1/4 of the time it would take you to mow it on a regular riding mower

Gravely is hands down one of the best, but you should look into a finish deck or grooming mower for your tractor also. I used to have a land pride finish deck that cut just as good if not better than our Cub Cadet. Just a thought.

Bought the Gravely 2250 today....OMG what a difference between a regular type mower and the Zturn... I can put the bush hog up now, I think I can cut with the z turn just as fast as the 5' bush hog...

It is a 2350.... I think I got a pretty good deal $3300 even and no tax due to farm ex.

I love my Zero Turn. If I would have known mowing the yard could be this much fun and be threw that much quicker I would have bought one years ago. Yes that sounds like a heck of a deal. Happy mowing.
