    Spring bear hunt suggestions

looking at going on a spring bear hunt next year and need some lodge recommendations. Anybody been and have a suggestion?

Looking to do this with traditional archery equipment and prefer spot and stalk but over bait will work as well.

We did a spring hunt in Montana, archery would be tough on a spot and stalk just being honest. The shots we saw were 200-600 yards. Without bait archery would be a challenge.

We used MT Hunting Outfitter, Beau and his crew are top notch.

Idaho could be a great option over bait.

The Salmon area is just south of Montana.

The most amazing country I've ever hunted.

If you are just looking to kill a bear there are dozens in Canada. If you are looking for big trophy bears I would suggest you check out Stickflingers in Manitoba. He bought out my friends business called Duck Mountain Outfitters.
Ask to hunt in the Duck Mountain area. I have been there quite a few times over the years. We have killed B&C bears on numerous occasions. We killed a 501# spring bear last yr & I have killed a 430#. Both easily made B&C.

Been twice with them. I'd go again. Good folks, lots of bear and comfortable. Can hunt any way you like.

I've done told my outfitter I'm not paying a deposit until the border opens up, if it does.

If interested in a spot and stalk over grain fields and are OK with a fall hunt instead of spring hunt check out Keg Country Outfitters in Keg River Alberta. This amounts to what is essentially a guaranteed kill (or at least shots, limit is two bears). Easy and fun hunt.

We booked with Marshland Outfitters in Saskatchewan for this past May.... had to reschedule for May 2021. Check out his website. They specialize in trophy bears.

I did not personally, wasn't for a lack of effort on everyone's part lol.

Solid chance I'm going back in the fall and try again.

My buddy took a massive blonde.

There’s no baiting when hunting bears here in Montana.
