So i ended up going steel after too many cut leaders on straight mono. I have 3.5 feet coated stainless steel cable, with a 13/0 non stainless circle hook, tied to 500lb mono leader, all load bearing connection points are 400lb swivels. Total length is 18 feet of leader. Used the mouse trap method outlined on texassharkfishing. Spider weight can move up and down a portion of the mono leader. Hoping this will work any last minute advise would be greatly appreciated.

Still lots of toothies out there to be caught.
Like the simple, yet effective rod holders. How is it mounted to truck?
Good luck!

Its bolted with a 4 inch bolt that has washers on it and runs through the trucks tie downs.
