Yep. A select few family members put in all the time, money, and sweat. Then, then all of the other siblings/cousins come to enjoy all of that hard work because "they have a right to". This situation happens all of the time when grandpa owns the land.

My buddy and I just went thru a similar situation the last couple weeks. We struggled with it and were lucky to keep our lease for this season, but we'll have to do it all over again starting at the beginning of next year. It's going to be tough and not sure we'll stay yet.

Sorry to hear about this happening to you. It sucks.

Yessir! Most of those cousins/siblings, and other family members DO NOT do a large part of the work, pr spend the time and money involved in making the property a successful hunting place. At best they bring a bag or two of corn when they hunt.

Its pretty frustrating. I have friends that help me more on the ranch than some family.

Supposedly they don’t allow any hunting .American Gypsum Company purchased it to mine in 5 years ! We tried getting it at least another season are try to sign something with them to maybe keep it until they started doing the work . But they said no hunting allowed. I’m sure someone at the top of the company hunts . And will be hunting it .

Purchase your own place. You can’t get kicked off your own land. You won’t regret it

That is tough. Good luck on finding another.
