    Trout Fishing Here in Texas?

Spent a lot of time this late winter/early spring fishing for rainbows. It was a good season overall with a lot of great days. Here's a video of one of those days on the water. I have several other videos of some of the others days I spent fishing as well, this is just one of my favorites as it was a great day to clear my head and reflect on a lot of great things in my life with my grandmother passing the day before. Hope y'all enjoy!

      Nice video!

One of the best days trout fishing was below Canyon Lake dam. The trout were 4" long and we were dropping dry flies. I'd make the drift, my line would straiten out, I'd set the hook...no fish. I think I landed about 10 but the challenge was so fun. Those little buggers were something. Never had fish so hard to catch.

It can be a challenge to keep those little suckers away for sure but at the same time can be fun! Usually when I’m having those jack with my lure I move on unless I’ve seen some bigger fish with them.

I spent many days this year on that stretch. Hard to get excited about trout fishing when you are sandwiched in between house and dogs are barking. They do put some big ones in there though.

Hmm that doesn't sound too enjoyable. I haven't had that problem myself. Talking to other guys on the water I guess I can see how some might feel that way. A bad day Trout fishing and any day on the water is better than a great day at work. I guess to each their own.
