Other than a little green apple quick-step, my wife had really no symptoms past day 4. She tested negative at day 11, back at work today at day 15...
I got tested too, never got it
7 Days after exposer, loss taste and smell upon waking, some fatigue
tested that night, results positive
no other symptoms
loss of taste for 5 days
loss of smell for 7.
I had a scare last spring that turned out to be nothing. They said I had one of the healthiest hearts they had ever seen. I generally never get sick and never go to the doctor.
Gotcha. Good news. This is vascular so I was curious.
It's definitely pretty strange how it's affecting different people. I was of the opinion that fat people, old people, and people with health condition were the only ones experiencing bad symptoms. I was wrong. My wife has it too and barely has symptoms to speak of. It's like mild allergies for her.
What blood type are you. I hear that type A has worse symptoms.
Those of you who have or have had covid and experienced symptoms, what did your timeline look like? I'm a really healthy 41 year old guy and this crap has had me down worse than anything I've dealt with. My timeline has looked something like this...
Day 1 (Last Tuesday) - Scratchy throat & dry cough
Day 2 - Fever begin and symptoms got worse rapidly. This is the day I was tested, which came back positive. It felt much like a bad case of flu coming on. Extreme fatigue, horrible headache, bad cough, sore throat, etc
Day 3-5 - Almost nonstop fever, diarrhea started and the headache just wouldn't go away. This was on top of the other normal flu like symptoms. I couldn't get out of bed I was so weak. My taste and smell also went away about day 3. Not that I had any interest in eating anyways.
Day 6 - That morning started out with me feeling slightly better and ended with me feeling the worst I have ever felt in my life. I told my wife I was ready for her to put me out of my misery.
Day 7 - Drastic improvement! All day with no fever and symptoms improved across the board. I still was very weak but felt much better.
Day 8 (currently) - Second day feeling better. I am still really weak and get tired very easy. I started getting chills a bit ago and I had a very slight fever of 100.4. I sure thought I was done running a temp.
Is this a fairly common timeline for someone that didn't get a mild case? I am over this stuff. I'm still really unclear when I should get retested so I can return to work. I dont want to do it too early and test positive again.
I know they said you have COVID but it sounds like you have the typical FLU...
It's interesting the vast range of symptoms. I haven't had anything, but either my wife or I have heard of coworker's spouses, brothers, sisters etc. that A) didn't know they had it; B) very mild symptoms that were confused with allergies lasting a few days; C) Flu-like symptoms lasting a week or so; D) in hospital on vent; E) died; or F) flu-like symptoms lasting a month, and still has trouble breathing even though it was contracted in April.
Day 2: Low Grade Fever (100), Headaches, & Fatigue
Day 3: Low Grade Fever (100), Headaches, & Fatigue
Day 4: Headaches, Fatigue, & Started To Lose Taste & Smell
Day 5: Headaches, Fatigue, & No Taste Or Smell
Day 6: Headaches, Fatigue, & No Taste Or Smell
Day 7: Headaches, Fatigue, & No Taste Or Smell
Day 8 - Now (Day 16): Feel Normal Besides The Taste & Smell Issues. Taste & Smell Are Getting Better Day By Day.
I was tested on Day 3, finally got my results back yesterday, and was positive. Also re-tested yesterday (Day 15) and came back negative. I'm going back next week for a second retest for work purposes.
My wife, son and myself all had it. My wife was fatigued for about three days and lost taste for about five days. My son never had a symptom. I had it much like you fatigued and horrible headache. Solid week of it then ran a low grade fever around day six and seven. Don’t get in a hurry to test if you don’t have too. I personally think the tests are a joke. My wife tested positive on June 14th the first time. Got tested July 6th and 13 so she could go back to work and both came back positive. My test results aren’t back yet for go back to work.
What blood type are you. I hear that type A has worse symptoms.
Curious about this as well. I'm O-pos and I hear type Os have the least likelihood of contracting it or expressing symptoms. I've theoretically been exposed a few times now and have never developed symptoms but can't get tested b/c they're not testing asymptomatic people where I'm at
I know they said you have COVID but it sounds like you have the typical FLU...
Yah who knows. Could just be the flu for all I know. I definitely don't have a lot of faith in the testing. I've only had the flu once as an adult so I dont have a lot to compare to. This was worse than what I experienced then. My fever has been bouncing between 101-102 the last few hours. I don’t remember the fever and fatigue sticking around like this.
