Insurance Fence Damage

I had a guy run through the fence at entrance to my place. I talked to his insurance and even if I want to fix myself I need a quote for the repairs. Has anyone done this? I guess materials and time to repair. I guess I could get a fence quote from a fencing company and use it but would feel bad wasting someone’s time.

Anyone dealt with this?

I did material plus labor (material X 1.5) when it happened to my chainlink fence. It was plenty close to a real quote

I would have a fence company come out, give you a quote then send that to his insurance co. When you get a check I would call that fence company and have them do it.
