Rolling Thunder...first movie I remember him being in.

I've had the displeasure of meeting him at a hardware store in San Saba. My son who was 8 or so at the time wanted his autograph so he said hello to Mr. Jones, and offered his hand, asked for an autograph and Mr. Jones looked down at him and told him that he didn't give autographs then just walked off. He didn't even shake my boy's hand.

He's pretty much a Richard Head in my opinion.

When we were looking for property in San Saba ,we looked at a place close to his ranch. The realtor said yeah, he ain't sociable. He made a joke e like,One of his gates says go to other gate & vice versa.
