    Oklahoma split in half

Not fracking, but twisted Supreme Court decision. Anyone own land in the disputed area?

I read something about that earlier. I guess I don't understand what this would mean. We have land in Eastern Oklahoma.

Reminds me of the elk poaching case from a while back.

So, he gets off by not being on American soil? I only scrolled through the article.

I live on the borders of the the Choctaw and Chickasaw nations. What I am getting from this is that state prosecutor can't go after any Indians on land deemed in their territory. Basically he would have to be tried in tribal court or the Federal authorities would have to try him for his crimes. Basically telling the state of Oklahoma they have no authority to try an Indian for crimes if the crimes occurred in tribal territory. I could be wrong but that's my take on it.

Legal authority over virtually half of Oklahoma – home to 1.8 million residents and including Tulsa, its second-largest city – was at issue.
