Ideas on gun mount for tractor?

I’ve got an open station Kubota and need a good way to carry my rifle. Seems like I see more pigs on the tractor than anything else. What do you guys use?

If I'm mowing or cutting hay I will keep a shotgun with slugs and buck shot on the tractor bungee corded in the corner of the cab because there have been several time coyotes trail close behind me. I would be cool to see what yall have rigged up.

I’d think it would need to be in some type of case or closed scabbard to keep from being coated in dust.

A Kolpin Gun Boot would probably work. I may check into that. I have a couple of them in my stash of goodies...

Then again a belt fed 30 cal. on a tripod on the hood would be fun too!!

Pics of the tractor? Would help give ideas on where to redneck rig a gun mount on it.

I have had tractors come in with them mounted to the rops bar behind the seat

                That's a good idea.

I’ve thought about that. Maybe mount a boot or something similar to the floor for the stock to sit in. For the barrel I thought maybe a mount from a 4wheeler rack attached to the ROPS would work.
With all the talented fabricators on here I figure somebody has it figured out.

It would have to be something that you could get the gun out of quick, I caint hold the spotlight long anymore.

Sure would have been fun to have had my .22 onboard couple weeks ago when I finally got to mow my pastures... After not having been mowed in almost 2 years because it was too wet, there were some serious rodents scurrying round... The cattle egrets would chase and catch the mice, but those dang rats would stand their ground and the egrets would back off!! Would have been fun to shoot the rat so the egret could get at 'em...

I carry my 357 with rat shot and get a few when I shred, them suckers can cover some ground in a hurry. After awhile I get tired of stopping and shooting. Heck even the dog gets tired of catching them.
