Gunsmith around Midland

Looking for someone around my area to swap a barrel for me. It’s a prefit for a tikka so it’s really just a screw of and screw on job. I just don’t have a barrel vise to do it myself. If anyone knows anyone that could help me out it would be appreciated.

West texas ordnance is the only one I’d use there in Ackerly. The other good ones are retired.

FYI you have to check headspace on EVERY prefit. Just like a normal barrel.

Yeah I’ve called WTO and left a few messages on Facebook as well, they must be out this last week. Hopefully I’ll hear back from them or I’ll call a few other places. I can drive a little bit to find someone

Find a barrel vise, go/no go gauges and wrench and learn to do it your self. The. You don’t have to wait on anyone.

Yeah that’s the plan at this point, should have just ordered all that from the beginning and it would already be done.
