A little background on the kid that wrecked his bike. He got kicked out of high school for threatening to kill a person. So I don't think it'd bother him one bit to ride back over there with a shotgun and put an end to that swooping business.LOL.............Come to think of it I know he seen me laughin. Might not bother him to stop at my house on his way there.

I counted 30 Mississippi Kites flying around the neighborhood a few days ago... imagine having 10+ dive bombing bicyclists

Man there is all kinds of fun stuff going on in the okie panhandle

It's pretty entertaining sometimes. Most times it's not but every once in a while. You also have to consider what is in our blood line out here. It wasn't all that long ago there were no rules here. Makes for some interesting people.

I'd like to know how much a video of what I witnessed would be worth. I need to keep an eye out if I see someone else on a bike so I can be ready to record it.

Those things wreck havoc on the golf courses in Lubbock. Nothing better than watching grown men travel down a fairway with a golf club held over their head. It adds a new degree of difficulty to teeing off on a couple of holes.

Yep, when I took Intro to Wildlife the summer before my freshman year at Tech they issued warnings and had signs posted about those suckers, mostly on the way to the Wildlife Building. Prof told us straight up, "If you're late and decide to cut across the grass or leave the sidewalk, you're prolly gonna get it." I think of them as flying chihuahua's. Funny birds.

I have been seeing a pair of birds glide/sail over our house for a couple of weeks now. I did not know what they were. After looking a pictures of Mississippi kites, I think that is what I am seeing.

WYA in Plano? I'm in-between Alma and Custer on Hedgcoxe and i've had 4 or 5 of em flying around above my house lately. real cool birds I am guessing they are patrolling the field across hedgcoxe from me. the Blue Jays go nuts when they are around.

My mom and sister live just down the street from me. Apparently my sister knows about the kite bird. Mom told me my sister loves riding her bike down there and running from the "hawk".....
