We're Moving to Rockport!

Country Club is really nice and just a golf cart ride from wherever you want to go. We're in Harbor Oaks out of the floodplain as well (by about 50ft). We'll have to get together sometime when/if life slows down for me.

Sounds great! We looked in Harbor Oaks as well - great neighborhood! I have a feeling we'll be looking for a golf cart more sooner than later.

Thanks! We've lived in Austin for over 20 years, so we've seen it change, and not for the better. We're looking forward to raising our daughter in a small town, close to the water, so we can enjoy all the things we love to do!

We close on our new home tomorrow, and we are super excited. We'll have our first load of stuff packed in the Jeep to stake our claim in the new place.

The movers come on Friday, and we're scrambling to pack, sort, throw away, give away, and sell 14 years of accumulation.

In the middle of all this the transmission in my truck decided to misbehave, so it's in the shop, which means we will be traveling back up to Austin to pick it up when it's done. Fun times.

Wish us luck over the next several days! We're going to need it!

That sucks on the truck but great on the rest. If I was in town I’d come help but our daughter just had our first grandchild so I might be a minute or two from returning to rp!

Thanks, I'll look him up! I figured it would be worthwhile to go out with a few guides to get even more familiar with the waters.
