Why does stuff break on weekends and holidays?

Needed to grab my hammer out of my garage. Had a lose fence board.

I walk in there and see water at the bottom of my freezer. My first thought is the receptical tripped. Nope, its engaged and the light in the freezer is on.

Most everything is still frozen, but now what?

My chicken, deer sausage, and a few other packs of meat are now in the inside freezer. I've got 3 ice chest filled with 20 lbs of ice, but some things didn't make it.

What got lost that hurt was some backstrap and roast. Wanted to do something with them, but wife wasn't having it. I have no desire to visit the hospital right now, so I didn't put up much of a fight.

Hopefully the freezer can be fixed. No idea what to look for as to why it stopped working.

You need to look for a new freezer. You'll never trust that one again

been there...everything into ice chests, old freezer to curb & a trip to Lowes / HD.

Bought our current frig on the 4th of July about 8 years ago. Just had to get it home and in the house.

Freezers are getting hard to get locally.

Bought a new refrigerator today, they’re scarce and waits are a couple of months to get a lot of them in. Wanted to buy a deep/chest freezer too, but none were to be found.

I went through that same thing just a couple days ago. I got lucky and noticed the outlet had shorted out. Fixture it and good to go. But I will say that stuff always breaks when I’m at the fire station
