Well if'n it was me and it happens to be the fan clutch going bad I would sure look at replacing it with an electric fan. It would save some pretty decent HP and improve fuel mileage by a noticeable amount. I have had fan clutches go bad. Some have seized up and some have lost ability to engage when the radiator temp went up. A seized fan clutch roars like crazy and one that don't engage will toast the engine cooling system and boil the radiator over. https://www.gmfullsize.com/threads/i...y-2001.229730/Last edited by muzzlebrake; 07-02-2020, 11:27 AM.

Not sure about the Ac tensioner. I know he needs a new ac belt. It is cracked.
I have never had to repair/replace a fan clutch. Honestly I don't even know where it is. Is there a way to check it to see if it is the problem or is it just better to replace it?
