COVID testing Ft Worth - Weatherford

My in laws have been feeling under the weather and their doc suggested they get tested for COVID. They are having a hard time finding anywhere that can test within a few days. My wife's sister is coming in town this weekend, so they want to get tested ASAP.

Anywhere that they can get same day testing/results between Weatherford or Ft Worth?

I know JP Elder Middle School had a drive through testing center, but you would not get same day results. It took about 48 hours or so for me to get mine back

My father in law was exposed and has ran a fever and a dry cough since Monday. Friends dropped by and delivered a cake to them on Saturday. The friends are in ICU at Weatherford Regional with Covid (pneumonia)

My father in law broke down and called us this morning to let us know that he was headed to Weatherford Regional to be tested. They told him to not bring my mother in law because she is showing no symptoms.

They can go to Weatherford Regional and get rates with results in a couple of days. They sent him home and asked that he monitor my mother in law.

We have worked so hard since April to keep them safe and then an old friend exposed them by dropping of a cake! My wife was with my mother law this morning...on the back porch under the old pecan tree!

I hope this helps and good luck!

They can do the antibody test ($50) or upon request the viral test with the nasal swab ($100). You need to call to request and schedule the viral test.

Results are supposed to be back in 1-2 days.

Call your county health department and ask them. You can search online, but I found that you have to call around and speak with folks. Some counties are having rotating mobil test stations. We had to drive from Sandia to Victoria to get tested and they had been out of tests for 3 days! We got lucky and they had the Rapid Test in yesterday morning, but they were being stingy with who got tested because they were limited to amount of tests on hand. Good luck, it is confusing and the folks that keep saying there are plenty of tests available have not tried to get tested!!

You might have to pay more for the quick test and even then no guarantee the results will be back in time. Probably 48 hours.

All the instant tests are reserved for the high profile athletes.

I tried to find a rapid test last week in Dfw but couldn’t find anywhere. Took 7 days to get results. They are getting slammed at labs right now. Good luck

One of those ER care centers in Benbrook says results in 15 minutes. 820 and 377.

I had to go and get tested there. The antibodies test is 15 minute results. The nasal swab takes 3-5 days for results. You can get both test for $50.

Why are yall paying for the test? It's free. Dont waste your time with antibodies test. 80% are not even hitting at 50% correct rate. Meaning they have a better chance to be wrong then right. Please do some research before you go getting any test.

So help me out here. Just my opinion here... Someone wakes up feeling not up to par. Thats not good. Don't wish this on anyone. Their doc suggested they get tested for Chinese Flu BUT can not do anything for them, period. But some employers demand this to call in sick. They Get dressed, drive their car to a non doctor testing site and wait many hours to be tested for the Chinese Flu. Why? Positive or Negative they can’t do anything for you. No Treatment. Maybe Fluids, Mamas Chicken Soup, Rest will help. Gets worse, go to the ER. Never before have we ever had so much of a push for testing. WHY?
