I am very against this horrible act also, but is any different than shooting hogs and letting them lay? I have herd that these birds can tear up some feilds.
yes it is different cause geese no matter what kind ( snow, blue, canadian, speckle belly) they are a migratory bird that has a season and a limit. that makes this illegal. hogs have no limit or season.
I have to agree with you on this one. That was my first thought.
I would love to agree with you guys and think that no hunter would have done this. But, I have seen some pretty low-life, dirtbag, dopeheads who call themselves hunters. I have known of local guys who have been caught doing similar things. One guy had 4 deer in the freezer and 3 in the back of his truck in August. He was just young, stupid and a hoodlum! He wore a camo cap and called himself a hunter. He represented "us" to all his non-hunting friends as what they knew of "hunters".
I hate to say it, pro-"hunting" people give the anti crowd more ammo than they need. That isn't to say that they don't fabricate their own when they need it though. I just don't rule out that some idiot shot them and was too lazy to clean them or something.
Stupid, ethicless "hunters" are cancer to our way of life.

I agree with Jr. fan. It's not right that they kill them and let them lay. I understand that they are a bag limit regulated migratory bird, but what is the difference from going and shooting ten or fifteen yotes or hogs and letting them lay? If you look beyond the migratory bird laws then what do you have? Both are animals, both are destructive, both are hunted for sport, some people eat geese, not so much on theh yotes. I am a supporter of the belief that if you kill a animal then you are going to utilize that harvest as much as you can. People Eating Tasty Animals. Not that i havent blasted my share of yotes. But I guess that's why people smarter than me have set all the regulations on hunting, to maintain populations. Don't want to get anything started, just my .02
Hogs are Feral and not native game animal. There is no law about letting them lay
Coyotes probaly would not taste good if you would eat them and there may be some law against eating them since they are canines. There is no law about letting them lay.
Snow geese are native, people will eat them, and there is a law about dumping them.
