As stated above, run a jumper wire direct from the battery to the distributor. Assuming it has an HEI that would be the lone wire on the outside left. Crank it and turn the fans on and see what happens. If it stays running you’ll need to remove the wire from the battery to kill it.

Check your grounds, should run dedicated grounds to each accessory. Also run power for accessories individual through relays.
