2020/2021 east texas hunting thread

Anybody NOT going this weekend? My lease is a few weeks away from good deer movement picking up and I don't want to burn out my stands before it gets good (learned that the hard way last year). Think I may just go Saturday evening and sit in a stand that's covered with pigs. Might even bring a green light.

I wont hunt till Tues or Weds. Sure would like to hunt tomorrow! Full moon tonight, deer movement will be at a premium around noon.

Will taking a doe spook bucks out of the immediate area? I plan on hunting Saturday and have an older doe i wanna take but its also the stand my target buck has been at the last few weeks but after dark

Got my Houston County buck back today from last season. It was a great season and hoping this year another good one hits the pine straw.

I don’t take a doe until after i take my target buck, i try and keep my footprint as small as possible until i wrap my tag around him. Or move off far enough away to not disturb area and harvest one.

He's is a beauty. I probably would have restored that big ol drop tine but he sure looks great just like he is

Last night and so far this morning is very active! Cams blowing up every minute since 4am. Come on Saturday
