XCARET is fun. If you want to go diving, I can get you connected with a very good outfit.

Definitely snorkel a cenote! That was a blast.

I've been years ago. I agree with all recommendations above. Hopefully that area is still safe and secure.

Buy some "Tequipal". It's flavored tequila some ladies that were in a group trip with us to the market put us on. Lots of flavors but think of Bailey's in texture. You can't find it in the US, I've taken the bottle to Total Wine and Spec's with no luck.

You should be able to find it in the "General Store" in the market area.

There are Mayan ruins just south in tulum has amazing view. Snorkeling cenote was cool. Spearfish or just snorkeling.

Lots of great advice here, this will be my second time at the Hilton “royal”. I’ll be there after you, hopefully we can still go with all this crap.

Awesome! Yes sir, I’m hoping nothing happens to our trip. I think we’re going to be able to sneak in just in time. I’m starting to get worried that we’re going to be seeing more closures in the coming weeks and months.

Incredible vacation!! You could tell the people of Mexico were extremely grateful to be back at work. Our 525 room resort was running at 10% occupancy so the service was unmatched. My drink couldn’t get half empty before there was another one in front of me. We went out of the resort probably every day and never felt unsafe. Again, I think everybody was just glad to see some tourism again. Monday we swam with some dolphins. As a grown man I’m not afraid to say that it was AWESOME!! Tuesday was fishing day and though it was slow, we had a good time. I caught about a 20LB Mahi Mahi that fought like no tomorrow. Our hands cut one of them up right there on deck and we had some fresh ceviche from a fish that was swimming in the ocean 30 minutes prior. Pretty dang cool. Wednesday we rented a Jeep and toured the entire island of Cozumel. I think I was most impressed by the “other” side of the island with no electricity. Stopped at two bars. One was called Coconuts and we were warned about the “blue drink” so of course we had to try it... we should’ve taken the warning. What a beautiful evening. I’d say our last excursion was my favorite, we snorkeled and swam through the cenotes. Probably one of the most bad arse things I’ve ever done!! Cold, dark and totally cool. I will definitely be back to that area. They went above and beyond in my opinion to keep everything clean and everybody safe. I’ll share some pics in a minute!

We're wanting to go, but we would have to quarantine for 14 days before I could go back to work.
