    Hogs and this crappy weather

In your opinion will hogs move better or worse this evening in this cold rain? I know I will see more in the field than in my living room.

I can hunt a couple times this weekend and am debating waiting until tomorrow evening and then Sunday evening.

Pros are that it's public land and no one will be out today LOL.. But it will suck if the hogs stay bedded down. Thinking maybe the cold will make them hungry...possibly let their guard down a little.

    pig

I hope they are out in my wheat field tomorrow. I am heading to the lease to set up protein feeders and fill a couple with corn.

I heard there are some pigs up there dying from lead poisoning and bleeding to death from 100 grain montecs. Will have to check that out for myself.

Like you said, you have a 0% chance of seeing one at home on the couch.

    Good Luck

Hunting should be good! What I have seen after a good rain they usually tear the pastures up rooting in the soft ground. At our place all the creeks flood pushing them out of the bottoms to our pastures. Good luck

Use the cover of the rain to deaden the sense of smell and sound in the woods. I have stalked right up on hogs bedded down in this weather more than once.

As soon as it quits raining the start moving. No matter what time of day. My hunters have great success hunting the rain showers.

They still gotta eat. I think they will be moving in this rain but your odds will be best when the weather starts to clear.

I just got back from the hog farm and busted 2 different groups going in. They were feeding in open areas that we normally don't see them in. Food luck!

They move more now eating little drowned critters and rooting soft dirt.

It's similar to hood luck but with more calories!

I have found that if it is just rain they will feed.. Thunder and Lightning - well they hunker down.
