Anyone using he Garmin xero bow sight?

Its the wrong piece of equipment to have GPS on it.
My broadheads need it and a lazer becon to follow.

A) It weights way too much for an elk hunt. B) Last I looked at them, they were super illegal out west.

It seems like a way to over complicate things and one more thing that can fail when you're miles from the bow shop. Hard pass for me.

Like others have mentioned, make sure you research the state laws wherever you are going. I know they are illegal in Colorado, for example.

Love mine, total gamechanger in western style hunting when you might need to range and shoot quickly. I dont think it's any heavier than traditional sights. It's also improved my accuracy, you get the benefit of a single pin sight without the extra step of scrolling to your distance. You can also set up multiple arrow profiles, which is cool, whether you have to make a change for elevation or a different arrow.

It is one more thing to go wrong, but from my experience it's a sturdy piece of equipment and they have some failsafes with regard to batteries and cut power cords. The one thing I'm worried about is breaking the glass, but it's pretty unlikely. I carry a backup anyhow.

Love mine. It is a pain to set up compared to traditional sights, but once it’s dialed in, its awesome. Great for those quick shots. I don’t find it any heavier than my Hha optimizer sight.

Would hunting in rain affect the sight?

I can say for me it has been a game changer. Before I bought this site I would not personally shoot past 40 yards at an animal. That’s just me. Like txhunter83 said there are several features that make this site super nice to use. A single pin and immediate range is awesome. I’m freely shooting my block target at 60 yards. I’ve shot it beyond that. But 60 is my new comfort zone whereas before 40 was. I have to say it has greatly improved my accuracy. It weighs about the same as my hha optmizer and fits inside my skb bowcase while installed which is a big deal for me. Hope this helps. To each his own gentlemen.

Look into the EZ V sight its an awesome piece of equipment

I like mine, and think that it's kind of a game changer for extending shooting range. It does take patience to set up and some getting used to. They do not weigh more than most adjustable scoped sights.
