    Mulberry question?

Is this a mulberry? If it is how tall do they get and would they make for a good shade tree? I have 2 popped up in the yard that are actually in a good spot I may leave alone. But if they will be terrible for shade will spray them with 24D. Thoughts?

Pretty sure not mulberry. Mulberry trees do make good shade trees, but some people don't like the berries dropping on everything below them.

This lol. Had a HUGE mulberry tree on the last ranch I worked. Every year for several weeks anything walking under or standing under the tree ended up with purple splatters. I used to laugh when a grey horse would walk under to graze.

Uhh sorry! Didn't think the birds would spread them that far away! I've got five red mulberry trees here on my place. Out here in the desert they get about 20-30 ft tall and make for pretty good shade, fruit makes for pretty good pies and on the plus side the birds love the fruit, they leave purple bird poop splatters everywhere, which po's the neighbors! Anytime anyone complains I just start talking about how it's the only thing I can grow with all the uppity neighbors and nosey blue hairs complaining about chickens, and how everyone else treats their dogs, and the weeds, and on-on-and on!
