    Things to do in junction-kerrville-Fredericksburg?

I’ll be making a weekend trip to the area in the next month or two to haul a load of animals. Wanted to make a small family vacation out of it. Don’t know much about the area though. Wanted to drive down Saturday morning, have some fun with my wife and little girl before picking up the animals Sunday afternoon to head home. Anybody have any thoughts? Thanks, Brice

German Bakery on Main Street for breakfast and lunch. Get there early!

There was a Kerrville thread last week that covered a lot of restaurants.

When you exit Kerrville from 10 on the North side. There is Texas side cross, along with some nice views. If you go there, no matter your situation. Ask if they do weddings!

The South Llano River State Park is a fun place to hang out for the day. It’s a great place to swim and fish. A Rooster Tail seems to be the most effective lure for us.

What can you not do in that area?

Great eats, great sceenery, great wineries and distillers. What more do you want?

Any farmers markets around? A neat place to stay? Other than the regular chain hotels.

Lots of B&B places around Fredericksburg and cabins in Kerrville. Your wife will like Fredericksburg.

I went to the Ingram dam the other weekend and swam around. It was pretty refreshing and neat. Saw all the kids sliding down the dam and decided to try it myself.
