I need a new boat trailer...

I am in the market for a new trailer for my boat. My current trailer is shot, too much rust to be worth the repairs. The boat is a 1999 Blue Wave 19 ft. Super Tunnel.

What brands of trailer should I look at? What can I realistically expect to pay? Current trailer is a Magnum. I need something that is quality, but budget friendly. Any help is appreciated!

Really happy with McClain with Vault hubs, gotta have the Vault hubs.

I have priced several places on aluminum tandem axle trailers and you are looking at 3500 - 4000

FIL just had a new 5th Lake trailer put under his 23 Bluewave in Edna. I think he paid around 4K if I remember. It looks just like a Coastline or McLain. Whatever trailer I bought, I would buy with the spare tire/hub assembly together.

A tough feeling but a necessary one - McLain built a new single axle for me in March. Months later I’m still so glad I got it

Thanks for the information. Is galvanized worth looking into? I know aluminium is better, but would galvanized be considerably cheaper?

Galv is cheaper but should not even be considered if you ever go to saltwater

Do you have trouble getting yours over the bow roller when loading? I’m about to get a new trailer for mine and need to do something about that issue.

McClain and Tex-All are the top 2 on my list

Last one I bought was probably 5ish years ago and the best price I could find was through Coastline in Seadrift. I would recommend them to anyone.

Current boat sits on a McClain and I really like it. It has a spare hub/tire mount which is nice.
