My dad used to eat all his steaks that rare if not more so. He never checked the temp. but I know for a fact they were still cold in the middle. They always looked good, so I would try them and think I would like it, but Not for me, can’t do it. I like med. His way of cooking them was to get a cast iron skillet super smoking hot, through the steak on and maybe have a sip of beer.
