    Airless Paint Sprayers

I have a few more questions about airless paint sprayers. How much paint (gallons) do you need to apply to make it beneficial to get out the airless considering the setup and cleanup time. Also, I know the guys who paint for a living have a dedicated machine for oil base and for water base. Is it reasonable with proper cleaning and maintenance to for the DIY guy to use one machine for both?

Ive watched a few painters with youtube channels and i dont think any of them have ever said use one machine for both oil and water.
I have a graco and I'd pull it out if i needed to use 4-5 gal

I stained fences for awhile and have done some home projects with my ryobi setup. Here's what ive got...

The fence stains that are oil based and have more of a paint consistency, the airless rig was great for. Most of what I used was ReadySeal which is has a much thinner consistency, and it would atomize way too much of it, so i used a pump sprayer and back brushed.

Any actual PAINT that ive run through it, it worked great. Im about to use it to paint my wife's 'she-shed'.

For cleanup, I'd just run water through it for a bit then some thinner. Every few uses i'd take it apart and clean it out.
