    Day didn’t go as planned

My neighbor has a crew laying sod today in his back yard. He called me about 9 am and said he order 1 pallet too many and asked if I wanted it. Well not really but my wife said she would like to put it out our back door so the kids have a place to play with no stickers and crappy grass... Yes Ma’am.... Luckily the crew had rented a sod cutter and let me use it. I marked out 400 sqft and went to cutting. Look about 5 hours to cut, remove, level and lay. Glad I don’t do that for a living. Think it’s gonna turnout pretty nice. Is supposed to be some tough Bermuda hybrid.

It’s a lot of work for sure. I’ve got 10 pallets being delivered on Thursday and I’m really not looking forward to laying it all lol

If it makes you feel any better, I went to the range and then drank beer.

Oh no thank you on that. I don’t blame you, but that much is going to look very nice after a few weeks.

It was but it wasn’t. The worst part was having to wheel barrow it from my neighbors yard. Probably 70 yard trip to get the sheets. The delivery guy had left by the time he realized he got too much.

Sounds like hgiles could use your help. It wasn’t a lot, but it was more than I had expected to lay down today.

Well my day didn't go as planned either

Got on tractor to mow down weeds and soon after discovered leak at water meter which as luck would have it was on my side. So out in the heat AND mud I was fixing that. Then back on tractor to mow weeds

Sounds like you have a pretty good neighbor. Grass looks good, like fishindude said make sure you give it LOTS of water over the next two weeks. We sodded(?) our last 3 houses and keeping up with the watering schedule was always the worst part, only one of those houses had a sprinkler system that covered the entire yard.

I have 2 back patios. Having them both replaced and made larger. Going to move 200 feet of grass to bald spots in the yard before the concrete is laid.......

Going to be a great place for the kiddos to play. Great job!

I don't see anything wrong with your original yard. I would have killed to play on something like that as a kid.
