    shrink wrap with vanes?

Has anyone ever tried those wraps that have the vanes already attached to them? All you have to do is slide it on the arrow, dip it in boiling water, let sit for a few minutes and presto? Saw them today at academy sporting goods and was wondering if anyone has ever tried them and how did they work in the field.

I bought some in Pennsylvania last month at the Eastern Sports show. The guy selling them kept telling me that Waddell loves 'em, blah blah blah. I finally bought a dozen and got home and put them on. Afterwards I watched the video and low and behold, Michael Waddell gives the entire instruction. I wish that I had watched it first, but I did a good job and these six arrows fly as good as any of my others. They call them the Shrinkfletch and the website is www.extremearchery.com Not saying that I won't buy arrows fletched any more, but this makes for quick and easy repair.

I have had them on the same shafts for two years and they have worked flawless. Even when they started to look bad they still held together. Just bought a dozen brand new ones. Now i just need to getthe dozen shafts to go along with them. Worked on the Aoudad in my avatar!

That's all I use. Best thing since sliced bread.

i use them its so much easier than glueing individual fletchings. they seem to fly great to me.

Use a heat gun or blow dryer. Works better than waiting on the water to boil plus I never liked the fact that the water is under the shrink wrap as it shrinks. I know it probably pushes out but still.

Yeah, they look easy but expensive. I'll stick to my fletching jig, wraps, and duravanes. It takes a little more time, but I have more flexibility to make it look like I want.
