I agree, I just found them as well and am reading the Rational Male now. I think a lot of what is said makes logical sense, especially the concept of hypergamy. Totally agree on social media. While men choose to be monogamous and step away from the playing field, women are constantly perhaps even subconsciously seeking attention via social media and covertly drumming up male attention and inflating their own perceived value. Everything I've heard so far makes sense in the context of past relationships and my marriage that ended abruptly while I was working my tail off to provide an amazing life, the wife left me for her boss at the drop of a hat and the process of divorce ended up being a great deal for her. Right now I've been dating a highly successful attorney for close to 2 years, but this is opening my eyes to some of the hypergamous behavior that she continues to exhibit and giving me pause about taking things any further. Not sure what the answer actually is for honest, successful, hard working, alpha guys out there. Logically it's hard to justify setting yourself up to be taken to the cleaners again.

Much of what you said here is exactly what I was going to say. Especially the first half. Women constantly seek the attention they get from social media, however most of that attention is from less desirable males that they wouldn’t interact with in real life because they feel they are worthy of a better man. However, they still use that attention from the lower grade males to inflate their own self value and SMV (sexual marketplace value).
Have you read about the 6-six’s yet? It’s kind of a guideline women want in a man. 6ft, 6pack abs, 6 figure income, 6 inches, 600hp vehicle, 6 months out of a relationship. These are considered 8-10 class males, but females that rate in the 4-6 class think they are deserving of a male in this class due to their overinflated self value based largely on social media. Women seek all these things in a male, however they (usually) have very little to bring to the table in a relationship. This is so warped.
I’ve found all this stuff very interesting to read about and I could discuss it at length for a good bit. Having just turned 40yrs old and able to make the 6-six’s, I’m able to take a little different perspective from this than the typical male. I can see the struggles on both sides of the fence. I certainly feel sorry for men these days having to navigate the dating scene and sexual market, especially if you are in your late 30’s to early 40’s. Being single sucks.
