    Uvalde Arrowhead ID

Found in central Uvalde county. Anyone know what it is/how old?

Looks about the same vintage as the quarter. I say 1985. Final answer. :-)

In. I just got on a lease in Uvalde this spring. Not sure how on earth you found an arrowhead amongst all the dang rocks!

I found it on a pile of rocks! Was scouting, told my buddy this looks like a good spot. Found this within a few feet of where we were standing. Good luck if you ask me.

Found quite a few on the lease along the river there, up on the original high bank. I think people agree that most of the spear points are the older ones, with smaller heads and bird points the newest. Probably anywhere up to 1000-3500 yrs old. The problem is a lot of the smaller fine ones have broken tips, cause they are so thin. The broken ones can be made into some neat house art tho.

Thanks. We are several miles from the river.

Broken points can be made into some really neat decorative pieces.

The base is gone which is the most diagnostic feature so hard to assign it a culture. The little double tip looks intentionally done. That's odd and neat.

Can't tell for certain what type it is without the base. Cool find just the same. I'll bet if you look around that spot some more you might find more artifacts.

Edit: I see Gar Guy beat me to it on the base comment.
