    Kayak Rack

Trying to come up with some way to carry our Kayaks, have a 1/2 ton and it has a backflip topper on it. We usually try and bring them on our camping trips and of course pulling the camper with other things loaded in the back of the truck and trying to get kayaks in we look pretty redneck Looking for any recommendations? Been looking on line but most don’t fit with a topper on.

Front hitch, bed extender put in the the short side in the hitch, then roof top them between the roof and the bed extender. Will try to find a photo.

Have several friends with this style. They don't want to permanently add rack to the top of shell, as then it won't fit into garage. They use this all summer, then remove once weather changes in Fall.

          I've made several.
I get a kick out of some racks out there that cost more than the Kayaks.

I am going to build one out of PVC for our 3 kayaks.

If you won't use it very often, just go cheap and get these canoe blocks from Home Depot, or one of the sporting goods stores. $20 for the set.

Or maybe one out of wood to get me by. Searches on PVC show it breaks at the joints too easily.

I have been looking into this also. I have a bed cover as well.

                      Try this: Adarac
I used it on my 2012 F150 with a Paragon bed cover
It has rails that rails mount on top of the sides using abracket inside the stake holes. The risers can be unbolted.
The rails were far enough out that it did not interfere with the bed cover.

the worst part is that the rails stayed mounted which wasn't a big deal cosmetically
