    Portable generators

Our barndo will been complete within the next couple months. I also have a small portable “shack” being built that will mount on a small trailer with a window unit in it. Is Honda the best ? If so which one do you recommend? Want the quietest one I can buy. Will use it as a home back up during a storm but will only run the living room kitchen area. Not the whole barn.

Can't go wrong with the Honda generators. I use two linked together for my camper. The 2200 watt ones

Might I suggest, you get a dual fuel one...……….
Propane, stores a lot longer than gas...….
      I have a dual fuel, and it's awesome...……..
L.P. doesn't gum up the carb, when it's not used for long periods..
I didn't start mine for three years... Hooked up the L.P. it started
      on the third pull...…..
Only draw back is... When the L.P. starts getting low.....
The wattage will drop as well...

        Honda Gens are awesome indeed! The link below is another good Gen company;
Shop our selection of power generators including dual fuel generators, inverter generators, portable generators, and generator accessories. Provide electricity for tailgates, campgrounds, job sites, and emergency backup.

Not sure how much wattage you need
I sure like my Ryobi. Quiet and runs forever on a tank of gas
I do like the duel fuel idea. I’m tired of hauling gas and stabil for our larger generator.

I ran a pair of Honda 2000’s for several years, I recently switched to a Predator 3500 from HF and have been very happy so far. Fraction of the price and a 2 year no questions asked replacement plan.

For quality, fuel consumption(this can be an issue when running long periods), and quiet Honda is probably the best choice. How many watts will you need?

Very hard to beat the Honda line of gensets.

Ethanol free gas if you can and still add sta-bil to every gallon of fuel you buy for it. You bought a goodun

Why add sta-bil to ethanol free gas? I thought sta-bil only stabilized ethanol gas...preventing the water accumulation in tanks and fuel separation.

Hondas are good machines. Youll be happy. Do not ever ever ever ever run ethanol fuel if you can help it.

Keep fuel from oxidation and tarnishing. They have a product for ethanol fuel as well. StaBil was around a long time before ethanol.

I’ll still add a stabilizer to ethanol-free fuel for long term storage only. If possible, I try to store lawn equipment with an empty tank and burn off any fuel in the carburetor...especially if I know it’s the last time I will be using them for awhile. Ethanol fuel SUCKS...period.
