I saw some wasp traps at Atwood's the other day. I don't have any experience with them, so I'm not sure how well they work.

These are yellow jackets. Just one of several types of paper wasps we have in Texas. And I always felt they were aggressive. The red wasps dont seem to be real aggressive to me. Some folks call bumblebees yellow jackets, but they are bees, not wasps.

      Bumblebees

They can be fairly aggressive, and their sting hurts like all get out.

That looks painful Kossetx, understand why you are seriously after them now. Maybe try some of these suggestions around the entry doors? Sounds like your casa is like mine, just too many places for them to nest around the house, but at least I try to keep them away from the front, back and garage doors. Think I will try Quackerbox idea of Dawn soap and water gun, can then reach a lot farther up on side of house than wasp spray.

          Hot Shot Pest Repellant

We have been using these for years and they work awesome. You just hang them where you don't want the wasp.

I have been slammed by them twice, once in the thigh and once on my right cheek below my eye. They hurt.
The problem is, if you watch them closely, they are all over in the trees and under the leaves, there isn't really anyway of eliminating them from the area.

Well...she was outa town. That's why I took the pic. My girlfriend knows better...

I was actually stung 3 times yesterday morning and one a few days before. This sting was the third yesterday. I went out and bought 2 cases of wasp spray and ordered a gallon of bifen. They're going to pay.

I got no words of wisdom, I'm one of the nighttime search and destroy guys, doesn't get rid of them but it helps. Also allows me some sense of revenge for all the past stings and those yet to come!

Looks like normal swelling when stung around the eyes[for me]. Yesterday I had one get after me in the back bedroom, knocked him down with my cap and used my boot to finish him off. Very aggressive, ???. Found a small nest and sprayed it with hot shot.

Bifen seems to keep them from building nests on my house and barn for a while.

A Bifen or Permethrin mix will work, but is short lived. Put a couple of packets of DemonWP in the sprayer along with the Bifen or Permethrin for extended control.
