Anybody using a HCO scoutgaurd SG550 camera or know anyone using???

Seem to get good reviews but you can only buy online.

Thinking about getting one but thought I'd ask pro's and con's first.

Just do a search, I have 2, great cams but the IR night pics are weak but overall very good cam, last a long time on 8aa batts, great trigger, good day pics, no lcd burnout, just a little remote you have to carry to check. The night IR are just not that bright. You wil definately enjoy it. go to chasingame.com for in depth analysis.

been using one a couple months now. just like Drenalin Ag99 said the night pics are not great. other than that it is a good camera...small, quick trigger, good video. trailcampro.com has some pretty good reviews too.

Love mine. Put it out the day after Christmas and battery indicator still shows 2 out of 3 "bars" of power still!.

I actually think the night pics are better if the camera is not under a canopy, like robinhood night pic, that is brighter than mine which is in a freakin jungle. I do love the cam though, tried to get my lease buddy to switch card on it, he couldnt find it and walked all around it I just ordered my second in camo, but the green is all u need, look on ebay, you can get one for 199 with frr sd card (they are sold from reputable dealers on ebay) beebusyoutdoors.com, trailcampro.com, nativeoutdoors.com. Price may very a little but its pretty standardized

Here is a day pic of mine and a dusk pic which looks okay cause their is still light out. I hear the video is awesome but I just dont mess with video, I just need pics. the first pic got cropped when I resized it, sorry

I love mine.......like stated above the night time pics are fair but I don't care much about the night time pics anyway. The camera has outstanding battery life and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one.

DLC covert is like the scoutguard, exactly just different company i guess, they have a covert 2 which is small but different shape and 50 bucks more. suppose to have 2 more IR emmiters but not sure if pics are brighter

Exact same........I sent a scoutguard back in for a software repair and this is what I was sent back......I called and they said it is the latest version of what was available and that the company was going through some name changes as well.
