We will be heading to Destin in a few weeks for a mini getaway. What is on your 'Do not miss' list for the area?



Restaurants, fishing charters, etc.

Lots of good restaurants, I post them when I have a chance.

We fished for Red Snapper with Charterboat Seahorse a couple years ago and did really well. Fishing boat prices in Destin are a little inflated but they have the demand to drive the price.

Use Navarre Kayak fishing for a trip. Nick will take you in the bay, the back country, or offshore. Preditor PDL yaks that are very stable.

San Destin resort and entertainment area...great food, live music, shopping, activities for kids, etc....dont have to be staying there to go

We've had great fishing trips with the charter boat Seahorse. Also rent a pontoon boat for the day and hit Crab Island.

Rent a pontoon in Panama City. Spend some time at Sea Shell Island.

Relax....but fishing is good depending on season, rent a pontoon boat, golf, scuba dive, you name it.

Sit on the beach and drink cold beer. Seriously though, we did the swim with dolphins tour down there and it was a big hit.

Plenty of places to kayak and get into some trout in the bay.
Shell island is cool for the kids but renting a boat ain't cheap.
