Almost everything is negotiable. At the very minimum, try to price match. I did that on my 2017 Mule.

I was able to get a decent deal on my used.

I recently got at 2020 HD10 Crew from freedom power sports in Decatur. I haggled with them. Then when they wouldn't budge any more I told the powersports dealer in Gainesville beat their price by 400. They came back another 200 lower than the fictional quote from Gainesville.

Heck yes you can haggle. We worked multiple dealers around Texas (I'm willing to drive a ways to save some dollars). We ended up buying a Can Am in Goldthwaite. They were more upfront than the other dealers we dealt with. Great people and would recommend them. I'd have to figure the exact savings but it was upwards of 2K based on quotes we received. Of course, they are much like car dealers....so kind of have to take that approach.

So you haggle for a new mattress, or big TV, or new tool from Lowe's? Seriously curious.

I don’t, but my Dad would. He was very successful at it too.

I've haggled on a mattress and TV LOL, pretty much anything that costs more than $1000 and I have a face to face contact with a salesperson. I am about to start haggling on tires for my truck too. But I enjoy it, so it might just be me.

If I am buying a new tool for more than $500, I am usually not buying from a store like HD or Lowes. It can usually be had direct from the MFG for significantly cheaper.

I’ve talked with the manager at Lowe’s a few times when making large purchases and haven’t been told no yet.

There is crazy markup in mattresses.

I was recently told by a corporate type employed at a major Mattress retailer when I mentioned furniture shopping- "always ask for a discount- there is room to haggle I assure you. "

That is especially true on anything that has cosmetic damage or open package etc...
