Spypoint link micro and HME solar setup?

My camera is still showing it’s on AA battery power even though I have the 12v box on it and I switched the battery mode in the app. Do I need to completely remove the AA battery box from the camera? I also read I may need an adapter for the power jack into the camera. I have the cord plugged in and secured with a zip tie so it can’t come loose. Just curious why it doesn’t or if it even will recognize the 12v power source.

I use a reaktor solar panel from elusive wildlife on my spypoint micro with no issues. Not sure about the panel y’all are using though.

Well, my app updated and my battery meter now reads 100% and 12V. No idea why, probably because I asked.

We had the same issue on one, and if I remember right, even when hooked up to a 12v, selected to 12v in the app, the AA's had to be removed out of the camera until it would show that it was hooked up to 12v supply.

it may be reading the plastic carrier is in place? Both of mine show the 12V

I hooked it up with the spypoint link charger from their website, take the AA batteries out and works like a charm.

Yes if you put AA batteries in the camera that’s what it will run off of. Don’t put AA in it if your running off of a 12 volt setup and you’ll be good to go.

My SPYPOINT runs just fine with AA’s in it, solar panel connected and it is running off of the 12v system. Using the Reaktor universal solar power pack. The camera stays at 90 to 95 percent.

I have that unit on both of mine. It works but the plug is a little loose and pulls out REALLY easy. You might consider some of those zip ties that have a ring on them and put one tight at the base of the plug then put a smaller one through the ring and pull it up tight into the camera. I've never had the critters pull it loose even when the coons knocked it over.

I've got mine set for ulimited pix, every three minutes, broadcast 12x per day and my battery stays at 100% all the time.

That’s awesome, this thing will eat a salary of battery quick on cellular!
