We had a guy that came recommended install 8 security cameras when we built. We have been less than happy with the performance and I’m looking to change everything out. The current system requires a static IP address which causes us to pay for business internet which is slower and more expensive. Does anyone have any recommendations for a hard wired system that doesn’t require a static ip?

I know Wyze makes some wired cameras, or at least they used to, and I don't believe they need static IP's. Not sure what kind of set up you have now, so I am not sure if they will do what you need. -
This is the cameras i installed in my house. I just have regular Xfinity internet and have had no issues. I dont think ours has to have a "static ip" addressComment

most ip cameras will have a manufactures ddns you can use free of charge.Comment

We just have a fairly cheap 8 camera Defender system that has served us well. When we had Verizon we had to have a static IP for us to be able to “remote” into the system. So we were paying for the business line as well. When we switched to Xfinity we no longer had to pay for a static IP and are using the same camera system.Comment

We got a Swann wired system at the recommendation of our installer. Features seemed good enough for me, but I know almost nothing about these systems. Found it on sale at Costco.Comment
