As far as a hunting blowgun the Cold Steel is the ticket. For shooting in the house and Pizzing the wife off, I suggest Predator 40cal. $14 on Amazon.

We used to make them @ work out of 1/2"pvc and the moldable foam earplugs with a sharpened piece of welding rod stuck thru them. Had a truck unloading shed that was a pigeon roost. It did the job, we just couldn't get caught with them

I’ve got a cold steel big bore. Pretty fun shooting rabbits with the broadhead darts. If you hit the vitals, they don’t go far. The blowgun doubles as great walking stick.

I also have a cold steel due to another thread here.

I've shot some squirrels with it but havent recovered one. Even with the broad head. Smoked one off the bird feeder once and he ran off. Clean pass thru

I shoot mine pretty regularly, love hunting the small game with it. I’ve got all three models , the one piece five foot, the one piece four foot and the two piece . Guess you can say I’m a blowgun nut

I need to shoot mine more

The "stun darts" are no joke, pretty sure a head shot would knock a human out cold

A 1/2” piece of EMT conduit fits 20ga shotgun wads perfectly, makes a great cheap blowgun and you can stick nails and stuff through the wads to make your own darts. The shotgun wads make for really good darts and you can shoot them (without modification) at people without it hurting too much.

I used to make them out of a cheap Bic ballpoint pen casing with the ink cartage removed for the barrel. For the darts, I'd use a epice of 1"-2" scrap 1/16" tig tungsten with a piece of tissue taped on the back portion for drag and stability. Did yall know that sharpened tungsten will still in mild steel and aluminum at close range?

I was amazed at the damage a simple dart could do , what it would penetrate and as for those stun darts . Those suckers are no joke I just got another pack in last week . My son got his own place and all of sudden the darts were gone

Will do. What darts do I use for dove? The bamboo? Or the stuns?

The birds move fast , so I go with a razor dart they fly faster. I’ve seen others use the bamboo as well. For small game I use the sharpened razor darts and shoot for the vitals , its tough to get a head shot . I’ve used stun darts for bullfrogs before and they work good.

I got the cold steel per a previous thread on here. Not sure about other people but it makes my mouth hurt after a couple rounds down the chamber. Also probably watched to many amazon jungle tribe videos and set my expectations to high.
