I would pick #1 for ease of shooting and practicality

#1 10mm 1911 is a sweet shooting pistol and easy to carry.
50 cal would be fun to take to the range once or twice then the novelty would wear off.

I’ve shot the desert eagle before. It was fun but maybe shot it 2 or 3 times. Not all that practical.

          The 10mm 1911 by far.

A 1911 is on my wish list. I'd go with that.

I have a colt double eagle in 10mm. It’s a dream to shoot. Double action 1911, gun is pretty rare.

Personally, I see no point in owning a 50 caliber pistol. If you want to go that route get a 44 Magnum. A Ruger Redhawk.

I have a Super Redhawk .44 mag, Ruger GP 100 .357 mag, Thompson Contender .357 mag and .223. Just looking for something different.

                                1.) Stainless Ruger SR 1911 10mm

                                2.) Desert Eagle Mark VII/XIX .50 AE

                                And Go!
get the 10mm,, more fun to shoot, cheaper, more ammo choices, you could use it as a concealed carry although it might be a little big,, the DE .50 is huge and would never be as much fun,, not saying it's not fun just not nearly as much and ammo is harder to find with much fewer choices, and you just about need a shoulder strap to carry it ( i would still like to have one! ) but carrying it anywhere would become a chore
