Another use for a Drone maybe?

I was thinking the other day and got the idea of using my drone as my spotter for sighting in guns to keep from having to walk back and forth as much just to check impacts. My drone has a camera built in that I can pair to my iPhone for video or still snapshots. I can either fly it back and forth or prop it up somewhere close to the target for the live feed. I have Not tried it yet but the quality seems to be good enough that it could work. I don’t have a spotting scope but do have a drone....[emoji16]
Anyone on TBH done this yet?

I don’t have a drone but have done this with FaceTime on my phone. Worked great but you do have to have a second phone with you.

I get the targets from Wal-mart or Academy that change colors when the bullet hits it. They come with black and red dots to cover the holes up so you can get a lot of use from. Easy to see from binoculars 100 yards away.

They actually make a mobile camera that you put down range at the target and it connects to your phone so that you can see shot placement immediately. I forgot what it is called, but remember seeing it a while back. They are not cheap, but probably not any more expensive as a drone.

I have been thinking about getting a Nikon p1000 camera for this task, along with having video and pic. capability at 3000x. ( optical). Just set it on a tripod like a spotting scope, no need to go down range.
