    VXR 28 vs 31.5 ….?

    I'm 5' 10" draw length 27-28"

Glen at triple edge was recommending the 28.

    What's your opinion.

Shoot them both but for me it would be the 31.5 all day. I like a mid-to longer ATA

I ordered the VXR 31.5, 75 lb. limbs, 80% let off with Ambush Riser, Ridge Reaper Forest Limbs.

Both shot very well, but I liked the longer ATA, just personnel preference.

I shot both and really like each one. I did buy the 31.5 in Ambush Green but that 28 felt and shot really good as well.

I would go and spend some time with both and see which one feels/fits better.

The 28 is what I shot first and I was big time impressed. I went in to buy another Hoyt but ended up with a VXR. Lol

this is good to know...in 6 ft at 29 inch draw im wanting the 28 as ive always shot 32 axa and above, i worried the string angle would be to steep ..they say because the vxr risers are longer the 28 is almost like shooting a barely shorter vertix...idk yet as ive never shot it

When did you order it? I ordered on middle of Feb., but it still hasn't come in apparently.

Yes sir, my shop owner told me when I ordered it, "Mathews is shut down and no word of when they will open back up."

To answer your question, I ordered mine 2 weeks ago from Precision Archery in Bridge City.

If I hear anything I will shoot you a PM.

I got the 28", but I wish I'd bought the 31.5". The 28 shoots good, but I do have to tilt my head to get my nose on the string. It shoots better with some weight added to to the lower riser.

I ordered the 28 but I'm 5'7" with a 26.5 draw length. If I was taller with a longer draw length I'd probably gone with the 31.5. Ordered mine in February and still waiting for it to come in.

That is what I was afraid of. They originally told me that it could be 8-10 weeks for a custom order, and that was before all of this virus crap.

I'm planning on getting one. Haven't shot either yet. I'm also 5' 10" but with a 28.5 do. Unless the 28 feels a lot better, I will be getting a 31.5. I prefer a longer ata.
