What sorta hornet from hell is this?

My son came running in from the backyard and says “I think there is one of those murder hornets in our yard!”. I walk out and find this slightly wounded, unable to fly and laying in our grass. I know it’s not a murder hornet, but I’ve never seen a hornet/wasp like this. Sucker’s stinger is about as long as his whole dang body.

I looked that up, it doesent look like a pigeon tremex. Then I looked up other horntails and they don’t match either
